I’m Kali - the Founder of Live and Breathe. Sometimes the most simple things are the most effective. I literally stumbled across the science of Breathing whilst doing an ice bath workshop ( more about that later) with friends Deano and Katy at Power of The Breath. Sure I’d heard of people doing all sorts of fancy breathing stuff - Wim Hof and his feats of endurance, getting zen with Pranayama and getting high with holotropic work…. but seriously… I’ve made it this far in life I think I know how to breath !! Then I learnt about Functional Breathing - breathing how nature intended you to breathe - it’s literally the foundation for every other physical, physiological, psychological and emotional aspect in your body. Since then I’ve gone on to study both Buyeyko and the Oxygen Advantage Methods - an approach firmly backed in science and able to be applied to everything from sports performance to snoring.
One thing I am very insistent on is that there is no one size fits all when it comes to finding your best self. Sure there are a gazillion life hacks out there, all promising to make your life better, whether that’s in health, work, relationships, balance - but we are all different, and if we want to make a change it needs to be right for us - achievable, sustainable and make us happy - so that it becomes more than just a change.… it becomes a way of life. Everything I share I practice myself ……..
And that’s how Live and Breathe came about - aligning with how nature intended us to live, it’s simple ways to take small steps - that bring about big change - dance to the beat of your own drum baby!!!
With today’s glorification of busy, hacking your way to health is promised to be the answer to our prayers. But if the foundations aren’t there - the basic functions that we need just to be alive - then we are never truly going to achieve.
Yeah yeah, you’ve heard it all before. Reduce stress, improve creativity, master time management and become a ninja at work life balance…. but seriously? If only!!!!

Only when you are connected to your breath can you truly begin to be connected to yourself, and the effects on your spiritual practice can be profound. Nature gave us a beautiful, direct and effective connection to our nervous system, but our modern environment has all but erased that ability from our memories.
